Martin has been performing her original music since the age of 15, debuting her vocal talent at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. Growing up, she taught herself piano and guitar to create music that expresses her voice and story. Martin began exploring Jazz while she learned to play the alto saxophone at 12 then progressed into singing a few years later. Her music also serves as a companion to her poetry, which is inspired by her own experiences and those surrounding. She cultivates a deep connection with her music, carefully selecting covers to adapt to her unique style, and drawing influence from contemporary artists like Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, Nora Jones, Alicia Keyes, and Nelly Furtado.
When not performing, Martin splits her time between serving as an attorney with the Mental Health Association, managing local volunteer organizations, and experiencing the joys of being a new mom.
