Being a foster parent has changed her for the better, says Aida Cruz, who penned “The Foster Childs Journey, into my home”.
“I am passionate about sharing my message with the world because, to me, these are the forgotten children. With the opiate epidemic today, there seems to be an increased need for foster homes and I don’t see the word get out enough,” she added. “I figured since I’ve been a foster parent for eight years, people could hear first-hand what it was like and what a joy it is to bring children into your home and watch them transition in being better children. It made me realize that even the smallest things make these children, who are usually neglected, feel better about themselves.”
Over an eight-year span, Cruz fostered more than 58 children.
“The Foster Child’s Journey Into my Home” by Ella Mentry is sold at Barnes & Noble and Amazon. The price is $9.95.
