Local singer-songwriter, MaryBeth King, performs a line up of acoustic originals and covers in a style comparable to Sarah McLaughlin. King first picked up the guitar at age 12, carrying her passion on through college where she received a Bachelors of Music from Villa Maria College.
Professionally, she regularly plays at venues all over WNY, including Clarence Center Coffee Co., Lafayette Tap Room, Hard Rock Cafe, and Blu Martini. King is also known to encourage her audience to participate in her performances by inviting them to grab something percussive and jam along.
In addition to her guitar, King has added the keyboard and ukulele to her repertoire. Her rhythmic guitar playing, spot-looped percussion, and backing vocals create a mesmerizing, multi-faceted sound.
MaryBeth’s musical influences include Ani DiFranco, Third Eye Blind, Sara Bareilles, Sheryl Crow and KT Tunstall among others, and covers many of their most widely loved songs.
