Grace Lougen, brings her raw, original songwriting to Daily Planet’s stage to create a genre of music that can best be explained as an eclectic blend of pop, rock, and funk with a subtle folk influence.
Lougen is a guitar player from Kenmore, NY who has been developing a blend of soul, blues, and rock genres since embarking on her solo project. She has been active on the Buffalo music scene for the past four years, playing for The Black and Blues Band as lead guitar player and lead/back-up vocalist since 2011, and for The Grace Stumberg Band as lead guitarist since 2012. She also performs with her own band, Grace Lougen and The Leftover Pancakes with bandmates, Caleb Saathoff on drums, Ben Saathoff on bass, and Linnea Cremean on viola. Together they write original music that encompasses the soul of old school blues and rock and roll with a fresh modern flare pulling influence from artists like Led Zeppelin, Joe Bonamassa, and John Mayer.
